Biking so free, biking's for me!
Lately the kids and I have been riding. Riding here riding there, it's been so fun to just get out on the trail Or road and let the pressures of the day dissolve for an hour or two! We definitely want to bike alot this summer and look forward to many adventures riding and riding and riding...

Mom --- and lovin' it!
Lately, I've been feeling challenged by the fact that i am a stay-at-home mom.
I've been a mom for 12 years now. (oh, where did time go?) Often, it's easy to feel like my "job" at home isn't really that important and so easily i feel pulled to do more, be busier, or that what I'm doing doesn't quite cut it when comparing to others who may appear to be doing a whole lot more.
Where does this leave me? ---- not very content.
As i was helping colleen out last week, by having 5 of her kids over,
it occurred to me those famous words that Jesus spoke "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (paraphrased)
At this point in the day, Caitlyn was cruising around (kind of following me and in her own little world all at the same time) and singing her little heart out.
That's when it hit me. Now, not to say it hasn't hit me before, but these little reminders are always good for us! I knew then that this moment was God's perfect will for me and my day! Here I was, surrounded by 8 children, the exact people-group Jesus mentioned to us about His kingdom!
Cait happened to be singing a nice little song about me (haha!) and it made my heart sing too! Her words were "Aunty Tammy, aunty Tammy, thank you aunty Tammy!" What a little sweet heart. God can use her to minister love to me!
I know that sometimes we can be distracted by so many outside things as moms. We are pulled, twisted and turned in every direction EVERY day! It's time to look to our children and to not hinder them, but allow them to be the outlet of our attention! Focusing on them, is like focusing on God's kingdom!
I know now that whether I have 10 kids in the house, or 3 that mommy-ing them is the best place to be!
