Jesse is 10!

For Jesse's 10th birthday we celebrated by having a "survivorman" theme.  Jason arranged a challenge so that each boy had to obtain the basics of survival.....SHELTER, FIRE, WATER, FOOD.  The boys competed individually and the boy with the best time won a "multi-tool" as his prize.  It was a lot of fun!

 We had the 8 boys sleeover too!

Inuit Carvings

We did Inuit Carvings while studying about Canada.  These were carved using bars of soap  :)

 One of our projects this year was to create a "world" cake.  We decided our world would be made of rice krispies...below are some pictures of our fun school project!

GLEEEEANERS......





So the main idea at gleaners is to process the vegs so they can be dried and then packaged and made into soup mix to be sent around the world.  Gleaners is able to feed 25,000 people per day worldwide!  We are thrilled that we got to be part of this and see how it all comes togerher!  It really was a lot of fun and feels great to know we're helping out those who really are mal-nourished.

we are excited to have started our school year at home!  the kids have really enjoyed getting down to business and start working away....it should be a great year as we 'travel' around the world to explore and learn about other countries and cultures!
